Hello, I’m Cher Yen, a Year 3 student at Temasek Polytechnic, specialising in fashion design. I’m passionate about bringing creative ideas to life and constantly exploring new ways to refine my work. With strong digital skills in Adobe Suite, Photoshop, Lightroom, and Caput, I enjoy experimenting with different techniques to push my designs further.
I pride myself on being a fast learner and committed to delivering high-quality work. I am open-minded and always take feedback as an opportunity to improve and grow. Outside of school, I love working with my hands, whether it’s craftwork, hands-on projects, or exploring new creative techniques. I also play the piano and football, which have shaped me into an adaptable person with many hidden skills. Music has trained my patience and attention to detail, while football has taught me teamwork and quick thinking, both of which influence my approach to design.
Sustainability is something I value deeply in my work. I believe that design should not only be creative but also responsible, and I strive to explore innovative ways to make fashion more sustainable. Whether it’s through material choices, production methods, or conscious design decisions, I aim to create meaningful and lasting pieces.
I am always eager to learn, push my creative boundaries, and take on new challenges. My goal is to contribute as a passionate and impactful designer, using both technical expertise and creativity to bring fresh, meaningful ideas to life. Whether through fashion, craft, or unexpected inspirations, I strive to create designs that not only look good but also tell a story and leave a lasting impression.
